![]() ![]() Batman and Lex Luthor also temporarily wielded yellow rings.Īfter the Sinestro Corps War with the Green Lanterns, two of Oa's guardians created their own Lantern Corps. Notable wielders of this ring are Sinestro, Mongul, Arkillo, Amon Sur, Superboy-Prime, the Anti-Monitor, and Cyborg-Superman. This effect can be disrupted by the presence of hope provided by the blue power ring. A unique power of the ring is the ability to instill fear in others to the point where the victim becomes nearly paralyzed with terror. The yellow rings have similar powers to their green counterparts using the ring, the wearer can create constructs of yellow light as well as project energy blasts and force fields. Chosen by the yellow rings, they joined Sinestro and became connected to the yellow central power battery on Qward. Using these rings, Sinestro established the Sinestro Corps, an organization of beings capable of instilling great fear in others. There, he met the Weaponers of Qward and convinced them to develop the yellow power ring, a weapon fueled by the power of fear and specifically designed to take advantage of the Green Lanterns' weakness of yellow energy. When the Green Lantern Corps banished Sinestro after they discovered he was using his ring to control his homeworld, he went to the planet Qward in the Antimatter Universe. Out of all of these, which one is the most powerful? Look below to find out! The Red Lantern Corps may be incredibly powerful, but you're stuck spewing blood out of your mouth for as long as you live. Meanwhile, the Sinestro Corps are all about striking fear into the hearts of others. A Green Lantern may be a great jack-of-all-trades, but they lack the ability to emotionally bolster those around them. While there are certain common powers between them, the emotion that they embody greatly affects the abilities of the wielder. Not all power rings, however, are the same. Lantern Corps bestow massive powers onto their members, giving them the ability to create light constructs, fly in the vacuum of space, and generally be awesome. They all have their own agendas, powers, and emotions that they draw from. Several other ring-wielding organizations are either policing the DC universe or seeking to destroy it somehow. But for a while now, they haven't been the only game in town. The rings themselves fit well after they're adjusted, and surprisingly don't pinch the skin like cheaper rings might. We can all agree that the Green Lantern Corps are awesome. I thankfully didn't break any while I was setting them up, but there were a couple of times where it felt like I could easily break this off. ![]() And much like those were years ago, these have the same bend and give where if you apply too much pressure, you might just break the metal. This took me back to my youth getting cheap mood rings at 7-11 for fun, and then having to bend the ring so it could fit. Getting them to bend is a tricky process. This is done by doing an L-cut into the band so you can slowly bend them and adjust. These rings are designed to fit the fingers of anyone size 8-14. These fall more in line with the designs of Hal Jordan's ring, as well as the early versions worn by John Stewart before they made the lantern more predominant in the design. The Lantern Corps rings, especially those worn by the Green Lanterns, have changed the design over the years depending on the characters and time periods and artists drawing them. They are presented on a small board highlighting each inside a Green Lantern type of jewelry box. Fans of DC Comics should know all of these well and recognize the designs on each one. They are Willpower, Fear, Love, Rage, Hope, Avarice, Compassion, Life, and Death. Whether they agree with each other or not, you have a ring in here for every aspect. You get a total of nine rings, each one representing the different aspects of the Lantern Corps.
